Question tested other driver HPF, same result

Ok, well I just tried the other driver marked for blu-ray. The voltage drop is identical to the first driver. at 7.5v the driver can only manage 3.845v at 369.5mA.
At 9v input I get 4.0v @ 420mA, at 12v I get 500mA Voltage is at 4.1Vdc, etc.. same as the first driver.

I think maybe the diode is an oddball?

How do you measure the current ?
With an amp meter in line, or do you measure the voltage at the current monitor ?
If you replace the diode with an amp meter, then what do you measure ?

    Default power supply

have you tried using a different power supply ?
i say this because i had a simalar problem and it turned out to be the supply acting up under load

measure current from the monitor side

Yes I have tired 2x 18650 cell batteries, 3 other wall supplies. All give same result.

what are you driving the modulation input with ??
if you are not driving it with 5v what you are seeing will happen
make sure you power it with 5v
and make sure you dont go above 5 v on it.
and also do not use the set terminal, and only drv, and gnd pins to be used
also note these drivers are great when powered at 9v

    yep the modulation needs 5v

on the red driver you can connect dvr to set, but on the blue driver this will fry the driver and diode.

so on the blue drivers you need add 5v to dvr and the gnd pad next to it

What are you talking about, I am doing a CW, not TTL. Now I have lost you.????

Don;t you achieve CW, by tying the TTL line to +5?

who said any thing about ttl
simple are you putting 5v on the 0-5v modulation input ?
it wont run full power cw unless you do
put 3v on it if you want to it just wont be full power
but you must have some sort of input on it for it to work properly
its the analog control for the laser not ttl, we said 5v so it will run to full power
