Thanks guys! Glad yall like it! I just hope it works as good at SELEM as it does here. The only thing I don't like is the quadrature square wave generator, I was flat out of room and had to build that circuit on as little real estate as I could, so it certainly doesn't look as professional as the rest, but it does work. Some times it's the little things that impress me the most, I'm quite proud of the little LED lighting thing I put in there to illuminate the pots, since most of the tuning will be in a dark room!

Hey Jon, thanks for the compliment! I'd be glad to work on a projector or two for ya, it's just going to have to be a little later in the year. I started this project when things were quiet at work, then things have been a mess for the past couple weeks. And now that I have this fire put out I have several huge projects to deal with at work over the next few months. When things settle down again, I need to work on a project I promised to another PL member months ago, in fact it may have been last year. I'll get to ya, I promise!

Actually, it's the DSLI / DSLS KTP controller 'line'...

    etc, etc...

... I wanna see about werkin on... they're 'dead sexy' on the outside, but I am sure they could use some of your 'fancy wirechasin-werk' and 'circuit-streamlining' on the inside...
maybe we can talk more 'bout it @ S'LEM... (...that's what it's called at about 1am on Fri nite....

You could go a step further and use DMX to automate the shutters giving a bit more power with LD2000

Give me a yell and Ill shoot over a 16ch dmx ttl board - looks like a good cause
I had to think about this one a bit. Adding DMX to control the shutters actually would be a neat feature. Could use it with the QM2K or just a DMX console. With the QM2K, you could pre-program everything on the timeline. What a neat idea, then, even though the projectors are all scanning the same thing, you can turn the shutters on and off to certain projectors for added effect. I like the idea, Dave, I don't think it would be anything I could implement in time for this years SELEM, but if the offer still stands for next year, I'll take you up on it.

maybe we can talk more 'bout it @ S'LEM... (...that's what it's called at about 1am on Fri nite....
Sounds good, Jon. Looking forward to it!

From what I understand, that's actually a bit of a myth. Take a look at this when you have a few minutes to kill: http://www.astromax.org/activities/members/kniffen.htm

could not disagree more, he is only taking into account light sensitivity under normal conditions, aka cones or normal vision is going to be more sensitive to green... but thats not the point at all, at night/in the dark we use rods, which are insensitive to red... hence why we use red, to preserve the low-light sensitivity of the rods
