Talk about flashbacks. I used to work with those at Chameleon Productions.

Andrew, you'd love it,
8080/Z80 based, STD Bus, and a analog sizer/rotator driven by multipling dacs that does not lose resolution.
8 bit images though,on eprom.
http://leftbrain.us/history/lasermedia.html
Boots in a fraction of a second and hot swappable cards.
Eproms are encrypted.
I have a few cards some where.
I know of one other system that was working as of two years ago, and most of the cards are mil-spec.
My memory is fuzzy, but If you just want a still up, you type the frame number and size and hit the carriage return.
So 99 10 <CR> and you should see a image.
Or 10 <CR> and you should get a image.
The test patterns are built in and are NNST (the Laser Media pattern, still included with Pango) and BBST, which is for tuning the blanking galvo, so NNST <CR> should get you the test pattern at the current size, speed, and effect.
I think its VT50, VT100 or VT110 emulation on the terminal , at 9600 8N1.
Other then that I don't know a thing.
Belongs in the Smithsonian, or in whatever system Bob Hess has created to preserve his collection for posterity.
