    Still, considering it's a point source I'd imagine it'd still be quite uncomfortable.

    Pretty cool idea though, you can do beamshows with your moving heads now

    Did they just take a whole diode array out of a casio projector and use that? The beam quality looks similar

    Hi Things,

    They have huge divergence using the stock lenses, at about 200 meters it just is like a bright blue torch. Considering to make a version with improved beam spec but of course safety comes first. There are a lot of 30+ watt laser show systems out there with beam specs far more dangerous or annoying than these blue units.

    I take it that you turned power and cooling up therefore because don't these diodes make 500mw or so as standard?

    Awesome projector though. Who'd have thought 20 watts of blue for less than a grand!
