    Default Before and after 445nm

So I just finished installing 753ma of 445 into my projector to mix with 250mw of 473.

    Check it out

    First pic is 445 only...

    Next with 445nm and 473nm

My white now looks icy blue Lovely really!

Curious what PBS you are using and if you have measured the loss/reflection of it.

looks like it might be a laswerwave?

the laserwave does ok at reflecting 445 and passing 473... it does pretty bad at passing 445 though... about 30% loss IIRC

Are you talking dichro or PBS?

I found out the dichros (red laserwave) in my case only passed about 10% 445 and reflected the rest.

I'm looking for the best PBS right now most have said there are not many good ones at 445.

Correct, It's a LW PBS. Not sure about the losses because I dont have a meter but works well enough. The only problem im having now is the Dei4Drive is just about killing the modulation to the 473(I just have the 2 MOD tied together)

Sounds like the input impedance on that driver is a little low, and that's pulling down the voltage on the modulation input to both drivers.

If that's the case, then here's a link to a simple circuit that will buffer the color signal and allow you to get the full 5 volts to the drivers even if they have low input impedance. Basically it's a unity-gain op-amp. Very easy to build and install.

(Credit to DZ for the idea behind the circuit.)

Thanks buffo :P. I have a show on Wednesday that I was planning on running this with the 445 but it looks like I'm going to have to run 473 only and work on this issue after the show
    Sad day.
