The good news is that you've got fully-adjustable mounts on the dichros. That will make far-field alignment a snap.

The bad news is that I don't see any adjustments on the mounts for the lasers themselves. So unless they are already aligned perfectly at the dichro face, you may have to manually shim them to get your near-field alignment correct. Still not too hard, but it might require a little work with some tools to loosen the lasers from the baseplate.

Bottom line: We can almost certainly fix this at SELEM.

I'm looking forward to any and all assistance and enlightenment this weekend. I think it's going to be a tremendous learning experience and I'm chomping at the bit to get the car packed! I'm also beginning to think, with all the help that's been offered by members on this board, that I need to get a list of everyones favorite beverage of choice and bring half a liquor store with me! In addition to cash...

69 hours 'til departure I hope!

looks purdy simple to me...(assuming that the laser heads are firmly mounted and have not moved position)

    I would:

1-Energize scanners so that the beam when powered will put a dot on the wall in the center of the scan angle both x and y.

2- adjust the mount (the one in the bottom of picture 2) so that it hits both scanner mirrors centered . This is now your reference beam.

3- align the other two adjustable mounts to hit the reference dot on the wall dead center. (in any order, but I would adjust the center dichro then the top dichro)

    4- open beer
