OIC you are using the flexmod V-3...I was wondering if there was going to be a bit-0-interference with the component. I did the mechanical stuff with the flexmod V-2.

One of the mechanical requirements was that the beam be adjustable in height around 29mm so the only to make it adjustable was to mount the holder so that the slots allowed for height adjustment.

cant wait to see it put out light adam, clean build. I bet it will work just fine the way it is.

I cant think of a single recent northbridge that wouldn't melt down with that HSF on it

How do you mount it to the base plate? I only see one hole ...

    My 2 cents...

Flip The L bracket 90 degrees off to the right side of the photo, and sandwich it on the hot side. Let the bracket help carry heat away, vs being part of the load.
Less cold side load, and as stated driver can hold it's own.
Nice and compact! Can't wait to get my FM3's.

    Hi Adam,

I now have a 1W 445 in an Axiz module plus a 405nm and 2 x 650's. I am planning to build these up with Analog modulation for my projector build. Your module looks nice, how can I obtain similar heatsink mounts, analog drivers etc?

BTW, I am still looking into the various methods posted in these forums regarding beam correction and also combining reds, can you please steer me in the right direction?

    Regards,

    Wayne.

    UPDATE!

It runs rock stable but the diode driver heat dissipation is a little too much for the TEC and heatsink. I've decided to go with everyone's suggestion and alter the design. Too bad, the driver fit so nicely in there.

I'll post some more pics after the changes.
