    The input is 20-28 VDC @ 1.25 A

    output 2400 VDC @ 5.25 A

    for a 110v ac plug

I hoping to put it in a project Enclosure 8x6x3"

if anyone has one laying around they want to sell of or can you point me in the right direction for purchase?

please PM me if you have one available.

    Cheers,

    Matt

    Hey Matt,

Cheapest & Smallest way around that, use a printer power supply from any printer, most are rated over 2amps @ 30volts, you can step the voltage down just a tad using a resister if need be and it should be able to power that HeNe no problem....

Thanks prodjallenbackup for your suggestion. I never thought about that.

I was thrift shopping and came across a dell laptop power supply Model PA-1131-02D
    Input: AC100-240V (worldwide use)
    Output: DC19.5V 6.7A
    Power: 130W

I sauntered a Coaxial DC power jack to the power brick.

I hope I'm not throwing to much current into the supply but it seems to be working well.

This is a noob learning project for me as I am making a HeNe tube table top lamp and trying to DIY to help learn more about AC/DC and electronics building.

I am using jayrobs lamp post found here

The HeNe I have is covered so my next step is to deconstruct the tube housing and salvage the ballast resistor. I also put an email into Sams faqs site for Cahode/anode mounting brackets (unless someone has them on PL to sell

    I'm rambling,

    Thanks again for your advice

    Hey Matt,

Hope that worked out for you, usually over-current isnt too much of a problem since your using a power supply to feed another power supply in this case laptop psu feeding HeNe psu, the HV current limiting is done by the HeNe psu...
