Unhappy Need advice on untidy graphics.

I'm a newbie with laser projectors and require some assistance.

    I've got a Briteq Clublaser7 - RGB, 350mw Red, 60mw green, 50mw blue, 20k scanners.

As seen in the attached photos, the images are a bit dirty. The start/end of circles & squares don't meet nicely.

What is the cause of this?
    How can it be corrected?

    Please help.
    Thanks.

Looks like your scanners need a bit of tuning, OR you could be scanning at too wide of an angle (image too large for the scanners to "draw" cleanly.

Why don't you update your profile with your location -
there might be some experienced PL members close by that could lend a helping hand...

Um, looks like your scanner amps were tuned on a "sample" scanner and not the actual ones in the machine, or the wrong test pattern, The reason is the "X" speed does not match the "Y" speed exactly.

Or you have a linearity issue on the "Y" galvo.

Either way, As Stuka says, looks like you need tuning. Can you generate a laser media or ILDA test pattern? Where are you located? Often we find PL members near other PL members who have the gear and experience.

One other thing to check is the blanking timing setting in your software. Looks like your suffering from a bit of "early" firing.

    Thanks for the response.

Changing timing in my Pangolin quickshow software does not seem to help.
The photos from my first post was via a dmx controller.
However, frames in Quickshow also have the same problem.

I've consulted the supplier of this projector, but they can't get it tuned any better and told me that it is working as per design as a midrange laser projector. I disagree.
The supplier does not specialize in lasers. They do all kinds of sounds & lighting equipment and don't even have a scope in their workshop to tune laser projectors. That figures.

My problems started when the blue diode died had had to be replaced. When I got it back I could not get 7 colors as it did not align properly. So i sent it back. Since then the alignment was even better than when i bought the unit, but now the images are 'dirty' - as seen in examples.

I will have to find a laser specialist in my area to help me out.

Thanks for your input. Much appreciated.
Any further comments, advice & ideas are most welcome.

What scan angle are you at, does it get better if reduced?

No, it does not really improve when reducing the scan angle.

    Lightbulb

I have yet to see a set of 20k scanners that will do text or graphics well. You might be getting the best you will get from those scanners.
