    Default Heat Sinks

    Hi

Does anyone know a good source of extruded aluminium heatsink?

I could do with getting hold of a heatsink approximately 6" x 3" minimum to 8" x 4" maximum. Height of fins between 2" and 3".

I want to passively cool a coherent C315m for my holography setup so it must be quite thermally efficient as I don't want to use a fan. The top plate of the heatsink needs to be between 6 and 10mm thick so I can bolt the laser head directly on to it. I guess the more fins the better.

If anyone knows of a source that is reasonably priced. Or if anyone has anything laying around that may be suitable please PM me.

    Many thanks

    Jem

    Jem !

Hold up buddy, i might have what you need.
Have some heavy aluminum blocks at home.
    I think they are 10cm x 30cm and around 6 to 8cm high fins....

That fits the description i guess if i convert 8x4 inches with fins of 2 inches high ?

Shall i measure them tonight ? You can have them for free if you can wait until the next LEM, else i can put them in a box to the UK ?

    Kind regards,
    Dimitri
