Not necessarily, with a too big diameter you will loose a lot on the scanner mirrors! And a bigger beam even more powerful, is generaly less bright than a tighter one.

Q: How much different beam profile with o-like and G-2 lenses?

    Cheers!
With the o-like, you are looking at a beam of about 5mm x ~3.5mm, with the 405-g-2, you will reduce the beam to around 3.5mm x 3.5mm, but using the 405-g-2 will nesiesitate using prisms as well ( you can get away without prisms with the o-like lenses

I will use prisms anyway as they are provided in your set. I was surprised to optical efficiency 405g2 lenses, if to trust power chart table - they give a quite good increase to beam power. It is necessary to wait while these lenses become more popular and easily bought

Still have a few of these remaining.

If anyone is interested in a built up module, I can work out pricing on that too

A built up module would solve my blue laser requirement for my projector. PM me Dave and we'll work something out. Thats one less laser I have to worry about. Looking forward to getting my DT40W's from you
