Ian,
Tell me about it. Maybe I'll look for a font that is similar to use.
Your second one was a little better, but still messed up. The red & yellow hat and 4 isn't even there for some reason when I scan.
Chris
The best I can get it to do is this.
This is still only at 12 FPS.

Wait, one more try.
You see why I wanted to do this. It is a great opportunity for me to learn some software and I have lots to learn.

I can't do anything with the attachment.
Is there anyway to only do the outside of the letters so it only scans them once? I other words no inner lines except if the letter needs it.
Chris
Even that last one won't do it? That was down to 1836 points at 16.34 FPS.
I can do just the outline, but it will take a little time.
The last one looked the best, but not great. Something else must be going on, I should be able to scan 1800 points no problem.
Chris
It's the multiple outlines that create extra scanning work. Here are two versions I did up with inkscape and ILD SOS using the techniques in the tutorial.. Also added a slight gradient to the letters for added effect.
Full with both outlines 18fps
Simple, 30fps
When you scan these, if you are using Spaghetti it might be doing some funky things with the blanking. Try scanning them in ILD SOS first and adjust the color shift to eliminate tails if you see any.
Ian,
Here is a pic of the newest file scanning after I ran it through SOS to optimize it. The .com is missing beacuse of the camera shutter.
