There is kind of a difference between cutting through metal and trying to cut through 2-3mm of plywood or plexiglass. Angle grinder and jigsaw...
Most CO2-based heads I've seen (including the $900 Chinese units) have a 20W or 40W CO2 tube to do the cutting.
Of course, that's nowhere near the power of a 1W 445nm, but there may be some tricks we can pull? If not, are there viable IR or NIR diodes (like 808nm DPSS pumpers) that can get into these kinds of powers?
