    My understanding is there wont be much new work done on LivePRO, so I doubt Pangolin are going to be reworking the colour set-up to use the extra channels... I think you are just going to have to wait for Beyond...

    As Dave says its future proofing and so very wise - no good getting 6-12 months down the line and having to rework again. Like I said I think its another step toward 'Beyond'
    As for LivePro - I have heard there is something in the pipeline.....still unknown if the new features will be catered for though

    i dont disagree with you both at all, seems like a good idea to me.

    but you can see where im comging from "look at our shiny new hardware, but you cant use all the features"

    i just wana be able to use all the features NOW, i dont wana wait

    Yeah but the software its currently designed to work with must also work 100% with the old FB3. As newer applications make use of this product which will probably not support the old hardware then these features will come into use.

    have you connect the new fb3 up at all rob? you notice any smoother output or anything?

    Not to a projector but have had one hooked to the lappy with QS2
    will test properly later

    First quick test shows no real difference in the smoothness of the output - was pretty slick to start with but what I do notice is that the scanners are running even quieter than they do with the old fb3 on QS!
