    Default Making a ILDA DAC

    Hi,
I have a Ishow that i wasted my money on as its useless.

I want to build my own ILDA unit. i see there is a Topic on using a cmedia sound card.
My only issue is there is so many statements and changes etc on the post that its confusing.

Can someone tell me what i need to purchase and basically what to do.

I know how to solder and a little about electronics etc.

    Thanks all in advance.

    Stuart

You can get a working, commercial, USB RIYA for 125-150$ or so, and be much better off,
Sound card dacs are for fooling around, if your actually trying to do a show commercially you need stability, and the SCD are not very stable due to driver issues.

I have a Riya, and I'm very happy with it. It offers you a upgrade path to other software as well.

for a cheap alternative, you can use the icrap dac (that i also have ) with another lasershow programm and get somewhat better results

eventually, i also got the riya mentioned above
