    Arrow Garmin GPSMap 278

For those of you who need a serious Sat Nav, I have a Garmin Gpsmap 278 with lots of accessories for sale. For those that arent aware, this is the "defacto" GPS unit used for overland expeditions. It is IPx7 compliant and has an anti glare screen. These are able to be used with road, topo or marine charts.

The unit is new and unused (still has screen protector on it) but does not have a box. I was assembling this system for myself, but I want to get a motor bike and therefore it is reluctantly for sale.

Here is a review of the 276 (the 278 has additional software features and the road maps are built in).

This GPS is good enough for the US Navy to use on nuclear subs.

The kit consists of the following items
Gps map 278 unit and hard cover and battery pack
Full European street mapping (last years)
    Adjustable vehicle mount
    Adjustable marine mount
Vehicle power lead (lighter socket) with loud speaker for voice turn prompts
    Marine power lead (hardwired)
    Mains battery charger
    USB lead
    All manuals and guides

    Plus the following accessories
GA27 external antenna (magnetic) with additional window mount
    Spare battery pack in wrapper
    2 x 1GB Garmin data cards
Copy of UK & Ireland Bluechart (marine chart)
Copy of English Channel (marine chart)
    Topo UK maps DVD
    Additional extension speaker

If you got this lot online, you wouldnt get much change from £850 (£550 for unit £300 for maps & accessories)

    SOLD

you are probably better off sending him a PM, so at least he'll get an email notification if he's not subscribed to this thread.
