Default 100mW RED laser module, worth buying ?

    Hi

    I consider making myself a red laser-pen !
And I notice this sweet 100mW red lasermodule.
It will fit perfectly inside a "pen-style" housing !!
And maybe I also can combine it with a green laser to make some yellow with my laser-scanner ? ?

    here is the link :

    SOooooh...
    Is this a normal price for a red laser @ 100mW ?
Or is there anybody here that can offer me a cheaper one

I'd talk to the maxyz folks before I did any red laser buying ... we love the red module we got from them!

    hmm

    MaXZY = AixiZ .... that can`t be correct ?

macroni= MaXY ? have I heard alot about. only possetive !
But i dont manage to get them now, (and i was in a hurry)

So i have ordred one 100mW red and one 10mW red laser module from AixiZ (eBay) and the guy did response to my email the very same day so I dont think there will be any problem (?) ..
And I hope that I will be happy with the red ones when i get it
It`s sooooo long since i worked on a RED laser

But to bad i think i will have a problem with combining a 100mW red and a 240mW green one hehe

To bad that I must filter down my green one to maybe "50mW" to get yellow ?

Green will need to be dropped to 25-30mW to make a nice yellow.

yea. greens a pretty strong visable line, heh.

I hope you can find one of that "colour-mixer-chrystal" and send it to me so I can start mixing green and red

    Red modules RECIVED !

This was extremly quick and nice service from aixix (eBay) !
There was only 5-6 days after I did do the payment untill i did recive the 100mW and the 10mW laser nice !

And the laser itself is perfect..
The 10mW ... well it`s a regular red DOT (not so perfect in distance)
The 100mW ... it`s nice an absolutely perfect round dot .
    And it was very bright

I have to punch myself in the fase everytime I almost se directly into the red beam (it`s a bad thing from the old 1mW red lasers)

Anyway, I did mix my red 100mW and my leadlight pointer XXmW !
And there was only green light hehe

So even my leadlight is to bright for the red 100mW !
So i dont dare to think about the 200mW green

But mixing light was fun and I will try to pot down the green and get some yellow

Maybe I make myself a HYBRID yellow laser-pointer
