    Default realtime laser tracing

Is there any laser controller software that can trace stuff on your screen in realtime?
Also is there a free software?
However naming paid lasershow software for doing realtime tracing is welcome too

    Thanks in advance everyone

There was a thread a while ago about some newly developed software that would take a feed from a video camera and produce real time laser graphics.

You can read all about it here.

No i mean from a part from the desktop ;3
However I might try using lasercam for it by assigning the lasercam program to a virtual webcam and then a part of my screen ;3

I don't know how you came to that conclusion.
    But No I'm not.

What I was planning on doing was.
Trace a part of my screen in realtime *a game*
I can force the game in wireframe mode ;3
    Just for fun ^^
or try it without wireframe mode too.

Glad to hear you're not trying to copy someone else's show.

The reason the question was asked is that there has been some recent talk about a pirate application that steals ILDA artwork by intercepting the vector art as it's drawn to a preview window on the computer.

This sort of application has the potential to drive talented developers out of the laser artwork business, which would be bad for all of us. That's why we were concerned.

You can do this with a web cam and a video projector, as long as you have Dr Lava's Laser-Cam software.

Display the game on a wall using a video projector. Point the web-cam at the wall, and use Dr Lava's Laser-Cam software to trace the image on the wall in real-time. It will output directly to your controller, which will allow you to see the results on your laser projector in real time.

An other alternative could be Lasershow Video (VST) from pangolin Laser designer.

But, quality comes with a price.

    I got a video projector ;3
But I can also just make a virtual driver with manycam and select a part of the screen.

And woa I never heard about people stealing people's ilda's
    That's horrible!
Those people should be ashamed of themselves and I also don't get people doing that.
A fun thing is also making the lasershows. Well that's my opinion.
As hard work with good results feels alot more rewarding.

I am affraid that this is going on on a "wide" scale..
I see shows within other software than pangolin containing Lightspeed Design library ilda's. And as far as i know.. these frames may only be used on pangolin software.

Yes i prefer pangolin , but thats besides the point.
