a little preview to check measurements and things in 3ds max.
the following modules have been orderd:
    1 watt 532nm (beam diameter 3x3 mm / divergence 2.0)
    2 watt 447nm (beam diameter 4x4 mm / divergence 2.8)
    2x 1 watt 650nm (beam diameter 5x5 mm / divergence 2.5)

lets say they ar 10% above spec.
at full power i get this:

bu i have bought the 447nm to let the projector grow in the future so i will be running it at 1 watt in the current setup and that gives:

dimensions of the case will probally be: 60x60x14 cm or 60x30x25 cm
as soon as i have more info i will post it

scanners will be 40Kpps @ 20 degree (chinese scanners i have laying around )

ya, I would put your red closest to the scanners... don't care what chroma says your red is going to be underpowered

I have more red than you in my setup and its still underpowered compared to the green/blue

    1 watt 532nm (beam diameter 3x3 mm / divergence 2.0)
    2 watt 447nm (beam diameter 4x4 mm / divergence 2.8)
    2x 1 watt 650nm (beam diameter 5x5 mm / divergence 2.5)

650 you need a power of 4 of 532. So you need 4W or 650 to balance it. Or 2W or 635nm.

Or just leave a space for 1W 635 and a space for collimator and cube or dichro.

Also you will need as big a galvos as passible. 5mm+. If you have 3mm galvos then you will loose some of your blue and a lot of red. Or you need to colimate but you will increase devergence.

Lasers and optics are pain in the rear! Always!.
I hired an Italian guy to do my wires. Now they look like spaghetti!

    Only watts don't say much

Beam diameter have a big impact on brightness.

    According to Arctos (source: http://www.arctoslaser.de/en/arctos_arguments.htm)
a 1W Red with 1,5mm beam almost got similar brightness to a 3W with 2,5mm beam.

and Brightness is calculated with the folowing formula: W/(mm*mRad)^2

This shows your 2W red with 5mm beam almost got similar brightness to a 750mW red with a 3mm beam diameter.

I too would consider putting 640's in. Kvant do them in larger powers:

    thanks for the tips
for now i will do it with the 650's.
640's are pricey but when i can get a good deal on one i will definately consider it.
scanner mirrors are pretty big so i am lucky with that ( 5x10x0.7 mm )
even if these are too small i can get 6x11x0.7 mm (5% performance decrease)

anyways is 635 also an option or is 640 better?

635 is horrible! 640 is much better.

635 also got a huge diameter so its not advisable, but its better than 650nm due to the brighter color

640nm got very good beam specs so this is the best choice.

I would really consider the 6mm mirrors as you can see in the attached picture even 6mm mirrors are to small to fit the fat beam.

What kind of 447nm you're planning to use? The new CNI modules?
