Some new pics from the circuitboard that i use for connecting the cable to the internal parts from the module. Thanks guys, looking forward to recieve the Laserbee II deluxe. Its great that it has the usb feature so you can connect it to your laptop and measure the power over a longer period. Then i,m sure that the power from my modules are garanteed. !!!!

You can be sure, when you don't know the real specs of the diodes?

I believe he is saying he will be sure of the Laser Diode's
output power by measuring them on his LPM...
Knowing the LD's specs will have no effect on the LPM Power readings...

I think dave means, nobody really know the real specifications of the diode. they could be 500mW diodes and we are all overdriving the diodes and they start popping after a few months.

    I think thats unlikely given:

    a) the number of people using them for a few months already at high powers
    b) the destruction testing that has taken place showing that even at very high amps, they just shut down rather than stop working

Here are some pictures from the beam reflecting the scannermirrors. The mirrors are 6mm wide. Its a galvo from the scanpro,s or somina,s. You can see that the beam fits easily
on the scanner mirrors. I will post some pics from the beamsize at a distance of 20 meters later this evening.

Do you mean some hobbyist are using the diodes for a few months and watch a few shows in the weekend, or some professorial rental company's uses them daily at full power.

(only playing the devils advocate here)

there is a reason why professional companies uses OPSL for blue, one of the reasons is reliability.

For hobbyist it does not matter if the diode dies after 1000 hours (=20.000 3 minute beamshows) , but if you sell modules with 2 year warranty (european law) it can be a risk selling them as 1W 445nm lasers without knowing the real specifications of the diodes.

Kvant and rgb lasersystems sell their modules with 1 year warrenty to us. We are not companies so i decided to give the same warrenty to anyone who is buying a module.
Warrenty is lost when the module is opened. So if i buy a CNI from you maurice i have 2 years warrenty if i buy it as a private person?
Also i,m not to worried. The difference is that i care about my customer. I just send a replacement panel from 50 euro,s to Colin for his projector. It wasn,t my fault that the case was damaged but those things happen. Service is everything and i,m happy to help where i can. I believe that happy customers in the end come back to me.

My projector(s) are usually on for 2+ hours a day; at home, hobbying. Just sayin...
