HELP NL Utrecht PT-30K driver suddenly stopped
Just testing my new easylease II usb when doing so suddenly 1 galvo stopped.
I disconnected everything and started troubleshooting.
The galvo is ok, because if i move it to the other driver it works.
The input from the ilda boad is ok because if i feed it to the other driver it works.
So the driver stopped working, there is a fuse on the board and if i put a multimeter on it i see different values but as far as i can see the wire is intact.
Is there anybody withing the Netherlands Utrecht region who cares to help?
I have a school disco on friday for my kids where i have to show up with a working driver.

Hi Michel,
This sort of thing, a hardware failure just before a show happened to me about 2.5 years ago.... with me a galvo began to send smoke signals with no reason and no overdrive..... Always a bad thing...
For the fuse on the board, can you take it out and measure it with your multimeter on 'diode' setting to see if it still conducts ?
I might have another spare galvo set (LW45k) to help you out, but I have to search and test them if they're still ok. I live in Eindhoven, if that's not to far from you

Hi Floris, thanks for the suggestion, i also spoke to Martijn, i think his alias is LedFreak3D from Hoorn, i payed him a visit and he offered to take a look at the driver.
Can't wait to hear his findings.
Martijn, if you read this, thanks in advance, nice to meet you
It's good to get to know the dutch laser enthousiasts more and more.
In a day or two i hope to know which course to follow.
I already informed the organisation for the Friday event that it might be a no show, would be nice if i can make it.
Just sad i cannot play this evening with the new dac

apperently the opamps were toasted and the fuse was blown, i can pick them up again this afternoon, will be back in business before friday.
perhaps scan angle and speed was a bit enthousiastic or just bad luck.
