Default galvos out of hand held scanner

Can anyone here make use of parts out of hand-held scanners? I assume the scanner uses a galvo but I am not sure if its suitable for those of you making laser projectors (my own interests are in holography). Anyway, I have two or three intact hand scanners (PSC QuickScan 6000plus) from which parts could be salvaged if anyone is interested. I would happily give them away to a good home or perhaps exchange for something of equal value that could be used in holography (e.g., maybe a mirror mount or some such thing).

    10W RGB
    2x 5W RGB
    2x 3W RGB

Some earlier gas and diode laser scanners use low-speed "stepper" scanners or resonant scanners.

O.K., thanks for the replies. I guess I'll start by taking one apart and seeing what's under the hood. If nothing useful then in the trash they go.
