Does anyone have any objections to the galvo mirrors changing from .8mm to .7mm thick as it looks like the smaller size will fit more makes than .8mm will?

Hi Simon, I do hope the 10x10 mirrors are cut with a diamond blade to get a clean edge.

If they use a normal glass cutter the edge will not be clean and they will be unusable for knive edging.

    can you please clarify.

    Thank you.

Good point mccarrot, I did spell out the exact usage for these and the importance of clean edges with coating all the way but I will double check with the manufacturer and report back

I once asked my supplier for 5x5 mirrors instead of 10x10 mirrors, his answer was:

the price of the 5x5 mirrors will be same as the 10x10 mirrors because
of the high cutting cost (diamond wheels are expensive)

So it think it would be good to ask for there cutting method, and not ask if the corner is clean, because they probably say yes.
