Default New York Class B License

Are there any laserists here that would be interested in taking the required course and test to obtain a Class b New York state Laser license?

I am going to be looking into all of the courses and materials for after the holidays. Would be cool if we had perhaps a little group or something that we can all cheat off of...i mean....take the course with. (KIDDING!!!)

    Any interest???

    Yo Dogg...

If you get it going, I can fax you a list of 'study materials' and the 'Application-requirements'.... you'll have to get a 'fresh' app-form from Ms Petersen...

'Study-wise', it's mostly Code Rule 50 (downloadable in PDF) and David H. Sliney's "Lasers", a 'moby-dick-sized' book, you can most-likely find in your nearest university library, at the furthest... Or, you could always buy it, ie: http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Saf.../9780306404344 (makes a great book-end!

Speaking of 'faxes', I'll call ya later when I'm at Kinkos, and you can get your fax, there, rocked-up, so I can get you these NYS Regist. forms / samples... I've just not gotten around to replacing my fax, since it took a 'permanent vacation' the other day....

I might be interested in this. I have a lot of family back there and every now and then, a booking idea pops up involving New York.

Me, I'm possibly in, for the group thing, if it would get me hired more often. Dr David Sliney's masterwork is one big boring, expensive, honkin huge book, might best be studied as a group.

My local library will let me have it for two weeks, though.

I was guessing you would be the one teaching the course.

Depends on what they want, I can do it, but if they require some sort of certification, I'm in the same boat as you.

Its not that hard, if you can balance your checkbook, you should be able to do this.
