    Hi Folks,

    I can not understand why big buyers (except FourDee ) are expressing more interest in the 642nm when the 637nm diode looks like a better buy all round, and extra especially for those mixing with existing 650 & 660nm setups.

    I realize that they are more expensive but possibilities of real, visible Red Power with adjustable beam size for graphics/safe beam shows only seems to lie down the 637nm route.

    For me the 642nm route is definitely the option B. (better than nothing though).

    Could anyone interested in firming up the slightly more expensive,better brightness,more power,isolated can...... 637nm option please step in with comments before it is too late and we are all committed to 642 due to lack of numbers!

    If not I will have to follow the herd and jump in anyway so as not to lose the GB.

    Cheers

    PS. @dave ....... PM in tube, but with much the same observations.

    ^^^ Yeah, I'm in for 4 and I would much prefer the 637 option, but do we have enough for the lower price point? ^^^

    637nm = 0.21 lumens/$

    642nm = 0.18 lumens/$

    I'll go with the flow. I was sticking to the 6385's to marry up with some other 6385's, but I guess it's no real hardship to swap to 63133's and use those instead.

    How about some more posts following the lead of these fine upstanding gents, so we can move towards really visible RED POWER ........Without having to electrically isolate the thermal bridge.

    A CALL TO ALL THE COLOUR BOFFINS ... how much extra visibility can we expect from changing from 642nm to 637nm (scoptic or what'sit vision naturally).

    Hey Dutch guys ... we are talking ORANGE (well almost! ) here. ... at least till we mix in the dark red to please the power meters.

    Cheers

    Hey guys..

    I hate to do this, but I'm going to cancel this group buy.. It seems interest is low, and I think shipping is going to make more people loose interest.

    I would suggest those of you who are still keen contact Francesco.

    Sorry guys.

    I have been thinking about this hard and long lately, and a $25 shipping charge at least for one diode is the killer. Maybe someone in Europe would like to take the groupbuy over?? I have a feeling shipping would work out a lot beter for everyone involved..

    Dave, thats a bugger. Thanks for your time trying to get this buy together.

    I have now put a request to my purchasing chickadee in ShenZhen (they also have branches in Tokyo, HongKong and Singapore) for pricing and ETA for 100 x HL6385DG and 100 x HL63133DG.

    I'll be in Shenzen late March through April so I could bring them back or have them shipped in my regular product deliveries.

    Will repost when I get the costs.

    Those who are still interested in these Opnext diodes can contact me by PM.
    I can offer them for about the same prices as in this groub buy.
    Will send a PM to everybody who showed interest later today.
