LivePro controller midi or touch screen

and how do you control track brightness, master speed, key&fx speed, scanrate, rotation speed etc.

I'm using this at the moment, non of the buttons is used to assign a cue, because my mouse can do this better.

I almost bought an Alesis ADAT on eBay recently thinking JUST IN CASE I ever get a show from somebody on an ADAT tape, I'd have one. Sheesh!

You don't *need* a midi controller to run LivePro, but it does make it easier to do some of the advanced effects... It really is a nice thing to have though.

Also, a touch-screen is a very cool add-on. Put just the workspace cues on the touch-screen, and use your main screen for all the other controls and the preview window. That way you can just jab away at the screen and select cues in time with the music.

True, you can use the mouse to do this, and actually you can even let LivePro do it for you by setting the BPM and then letting it step through cues automatically (either randomly or in a pattern), but I think it's more fun to "play" along with the music...

We'll be playing with this a bit at the Knoxville LEM on December 18th, BTW, if you were thinking about making the trip!

Yes...
BUT:
LivePro on "Auto" really isn't that good... well... for that matter all software "on auto" I've seen doesn't give a good display; at least in my opinion anyway.

There'a LivePRO plugin for Winamp that can automatically assign beat detection to various LivePRO options.
You could use the line-in option in Winamp to apply external audio to LivePRO.

Not near as effective as a skilled LivePRO "master" -

but still pretty cool!!

Already been snooping through Novations website. Why do I feel it's only a matter of time.... (and probably a short time at that!) I should probably at LEAST wait until the software arrives though!

I may just have to rent a truck by the time SELEM 2011 rolls around! LOL
