    Default 0-5V 10Khz Analog Modulation?

I've never worked with analog modulation before - only TTL "blanking".

I recently received a laser that had an analog modulation connector that was marked 0-5v 10Khz - is this PWM? I always thought analog was truly analog.

The TTL port is marked at 30Khz, so I'm not entirely sure how this works.

I've written to the manufacturer (China) but not received a response yet.

No, the analog modulation port is most likely analog, true analog, not PWM.

It will accept an input from 0V to 5V with a response of 10kHz. Fully proportional, although linearity may be questionable...

It is analog, not PWM. The specified frequency is how fast it can be modulated. However, as you'll see if you monitor the output with a photodiode and oscilloscope the number given by chinese manufacturers is definitely not an absolute truth. Just like their Mē values, they don't actually measure this, so take the specifications with a grain of salt.

Thanks for the response - that's what I thought.

Emails via the website - I try very hard to, but sometimes things get lost...

What was your question (hijacking my own thread)
