Default New projectors with 445s, they never switch off?

My projectors, using either one of my FB3s, and with output disabled in Quickshow, show a faint blue dot. The seller has suggested this is an endemic problem with the diodes / drivers. True? BS? Fixable?

The bias current is needed to achieve proper modulation response, and results in a faint lasing.

You might want to consider a shutter.

Yep, even with as low as 10mA mine still LED. I can see it on my wal at home, but in a gig situation I couldn't see it even though i knew it was there and was looking hard for it.

I find that having the bias low means that it matches the threshold for when my green starts lasing. Others like to have the bias just below threshold (~180mA) and get instant light
