    I got 4 30m DB25s from Misco for less than £100 :-)

is this the same pin connections as for the "old" printer cables?
if so then i found myself a long cable in my storage.

Could be. The ones I bought are direct pin-to-pin M/F cables; be wary that some cables can be cross-overs. All I can say is that the ones I got work nicely and are considerably cheaper than buying ILDA cables.

Good customer service as well at Misco.

I used to buy all my pc parts there until they became expensive on many items.

Ilda cable seems like a bargain though given the price of copper and that 30m must contain quite a lot of it.
