Thumbs up Hello. semi new member.

Hello, I'm Michael. I'm kind of new here. Also i have already been banned LoL...
But i am new into projectors/scanners. I have learned pretty much every thing so far from elektrofreak and andycon. I am building a less than 1watt RGB i finally have all my parts. At the moment i really enjoy beam shows. I do a lot of raves and got hooked. (well i've always had the love of lasers). The only thing i am waiting on is my self to finish designing and making my own dichro mounts. just in case you are wondering this is my set up so far:

    phenix 20k scanners
dual LOC 660nm's est. output <500mw
    150mw tec cooled green lab
    445nm a140
    flexmods
    deal extreme usb sound card
    dr. lava op amp
dichros out of the a140 projector
    1/4" aluminum table
aluminum custom heat sinks for reds and blue
    SOLA 12v and 5v psu

the only thing i don't have is software. i am still researching my best option. as there are tons of varying answers.

Hi Michael, welcome to PL. Let's hope you do not give need to ban again!

Your in the same position I am in, projector build under way and software is yet to be determined.

I have played with LFI Player offline, it's a bit klunky but ok. May consider Spaghetti but ultimately I feel I may go for Pangolin software... Keen to hear your thoughts, have you tried any of the free offerings?

Personally, I want to sync my shows to music, mostly beams shows.

    Regards,

    Wayne.

If you both really want to start, i would recommend an Pangolin FB3-QS.

Its a complete package of hardware and software.
Works perfect. Very complete!!, good for starters. And you have lifetime free software updates.

    "Pangolin FB3-QS"

My understanding is you can ask for a demo licence o have play.

The software that comes with above Quickshow , is terrific , and if you outgrow it somehow your likely doin commercial shows and can afford QM2K

Mmmm. Seeing as I have already purchased an AUDIOLASE with sound board, I see no options on the Pangolin site for software only. Does QS even work with other hardware?

What is the best option for purchasing QS in Australia? I remember getting prices from dave months ago, but did not save the email response.

Hey Jerry, Good to see you again!!! I didn't know you were a member here. I got banned here my first day. i would direct you to the thread but when you get banned here they completely take you out LOL...

as for pangolin fb3 it is pricey. i already have my sound card and op amp. i'm in no way looking for a professional solution. so isn't exactly available in an affordable package. On LPF i was recommended to use some drawing program and another program by dr.lava.
