I want that kinect grating !
Wouldn't that make an awesome burst grating ?
Who's the first one to shoot some 532 through it ?
It should be able to handle 75mW at least !

Get a Stargate, probably cheaper then scrapping a Kinect.

Steve
I got a stargate, and two machados already.
What I like about this one, is that the beams are semi-randomly placed.
Not array-like as in the lightworlds.
I would love to shine some all-line Ar through it.
A hoe would love that couch and the stars !!!! Be sure to have drinks ready !!

hey Sir Bart...
Agreed. Those vids of the people with 'IR chickenpox' were cool... Here's one other thought: If you can find a 'used' or 'second-hand' BlissLight, the HOE in those are also, somewhat 'random' - at least, the points are more-dispersed, like you say, and not 'mathematic', like the stargate, etc...
Here's a shot of the Bliss HOE with ~1W of 445... (..and I know - the pic looks 'fake', like a 'painting' or something... but, it's real - the cammy just can't 'handle' the extreme-contrast in the dark, especially with the haze, etc... but suffice to say - there are beamlets *everywhere*...
Please-do post pix if you crack-open one of the Kinects...
cheers...
