    @S&M:
The mappings I've done are for the *Novation*.
This is where the bulk of the time is spent in setting up...

Text labels, MIDI parameters, min/max values etc. for each button/slider.
    - If it's for LivePro; just copy the MIDI settings file over (which I can send you if you want).
    - If it's for QuickShow; open the QS MIDI settings and hit hit each button / slider under the appropriate heading. 10 mins max...

    Cheers,
    Dan

Yes, I understand that; and - once again - I merely question the wisdom of buying the Novation for Quickshow. If the poster has already bought it, fine. If not, they might want to think of a cheaper, simpler MIDI controller such as the Korg nanoKontrol which I use because QS has a smaller control set, so why spend £200 when you can spend £30 and get the same result?

    Yeah, you're probably right...
There *are* rather a lot of buttons...

I've not used QuickShow explicitly with the Novation for a long time.
It somewhat annoyed me 'back in the days' when I'd spend a while programming it, then close QS, and it would loose all my settings!!
    Apparently this has been fixed.

I ordered a Novation Zero SL Mk2, but they sent a Novation SL Mk2 (with a big keyboard on it)...

What do people think, is it worth keeping it or sending it back for a Zero?

Currently using QS2 although thinking livepro is the way to go!

    Default QS2 with Novation etc....

    Hi All,
After some hours of "playing" with the SLII I finally made some headway - this is the first time I have EVER used Midi.
I have been able to map some controls, namely:-
    Size X & Y Sliders.
    X & Y & Z Angle & Rotation
    Color Slider
    Brightness Slider
    Visible Points Slider
    Animation Speed Slider
    Animation Scan Rate Slider.

It would be VERY useful to be able to map other controls - especially both Reset Position & Reset Rotation.

As "Smoke & Mirrors" pointed out, this particular controller is, unfortunately a bit overkill for QS2 - unless anyone can tell me how to utilise it further?

re. Daniel Briggs comment and loosing settings - must have been fixed as I am not having this issue.

According to Alexey of Pangolin, this part of QS is still under development and, therefore, I am hoping that I am able to do more with it in the future.

    Cheers,
    AndyH
