I am running a P3 with single 445 diode, no issues. I think the issue in the OP is due to a series string, and may be related to his power supply?

I was going to wire two in series, so it is a bit worrying.

I find it very hard to believe that the good doctor has left the circuit with any kinf of flaw, major or minor. So, I am just worried about the diode-frying specifics in polishedball's application, or the mysterious double death on andy_con's setup

    Hmmm. Understood.

Personally I have had no issues running 1x445nm with 9.0V supply (12V SMPSU dialed down) and 4x660nm in parallel with 5.5V supply (5V SMPSU dialed up).

I try to keep the PSU voltage as low as possible, with a little headroom, to reduce the power dissipation of the driver. This helps reduce heat and stress, it might also be the key to success or failure?

I also run 5 other Flexmod's with no issues. My only problem was with this setup, I highly doubt it has anything to do with Flexmods as I have never had the issue before. This was a very rare occurrence due to the setup outside of the flexmod.

Next time I speak with drlava i'll ask him to chime in this thread.

Once again, setting up flexmod's in future builds will be as described in the documentation they work and they work well.

I've been using a Flexmod with two 445 diodes in series for some months now with no issues.
