@Stoney3K Hmm well if it's really going to happen: count me in.
But is this LEM going to be in the netherlands or in an other country?
Im fine with it being in an other country if needed.
If you aren't able to do this it's no problem, My location is really big.
Which I can upload foto's of if people want.

@Mccarrot About press, Bill told me this:
Pangolin has a feature called Beam Attenuation Maps. If the press was in a consistent location, you can reduce the power where they are, so their camera will not be damaged.

And for the people that do not use Pangolin hardware we can just assign the right spots to them. So that we will have a safe-zone for press.
I haven't asked yet though and didn't got approval from other PL members yet, but the possibility is there.

    @Dnstje Sounds good to me

I assume Bill also told you this: You NEVER may trust on this system for safety, its an additional utility but don't trust on it!!!!

Mamba or phoenix/lds has that too, but at some frames or curves it doesnt lower its power.
I actualy damaged a camera by just a simple reflection~

Yes you are right, BAM's are used to reduce the power at locations where camera's or DLP beamers are. (DLP's are also very sensitive for laserdamage!)

I even used Bam zones at the LEM for the 4 green projectors. I lowered the power to 60% in the lower part where the beams hits the audiance.

But still most cameramans and VJ's are freaking out when you start to talk about lasers. It will not be the first 20.000,- DLP beamer chip that gets toasted by a laser or broadcast camera that will be useless.
But with good planning everything is possible.

    owww... that does suck...

Hmm well what I can do is give it a shot and tell the camera people about this.
and let them decide for themselves
We are not responsible for any damages, but we do feel responsible so we act with care but when damage occurs we can't be fined for it.

They might take less expensive camera's with them or refuse, I can just discuss it so we can at least have to possibility still at hand. And when it's a no then we have this situation out of the way
    *sounds good to me*

btw mccarrot I was amazed by the power of the lowest middle beamer.
It's an really good projector, I was a bit amazed when you told me that at the end...
I also noticed I was stuttering alot on the meeting.

I think this was alot of tension, enthousiasm and amazingness combined.
LEM made me love lasers even more than I thought was possible.

Is it possible to marry one?
