    Default Equinox Ripper Help

    Hello,

I treated myself to an Equinox Ripper which has SD card support. I am new to lasers and have figures that the laser reads the 'ild' files on the SD card and projects the necessary pattern/design.

I have added a ild file I found on this forum just now, of a football player, and created my own folder and placed it in that folder. I made sure the file name was shorter than 8 chars, as that's a requirement for the laser.

I put the SD card into the laser, selected the folder and used "key seek" to find the file. However, it said there were no files in that folder.

All help is appreciated, and remember, I'm totally new to lasers!

    Random ideas :
    - Format your SD card

    - Try formatting it to a different type. *however I think you need to be carefull with formating to NTFS.
Try formatting to FAT or FAT32.

    - Try an other ilda.
    - Maybe it doesn't support that ilda version.

    Hi,

I doubt it needs formatting, because all the other pre-loaded files work without a problem.

I don't know what versions of ILDA files it supports.

Here's a file that was already on the SD card and works: attached.

hmm file does not begin with a pallete.
    That happens.

    I will upload 3 small ilda's here
    in 3 different version.
Load them on the SD and see which of the 3 works
    Version45.ild.
    Version1.ild
    Version0.ild

Version1.ild was the only one that worked.

    hmm.
First of all have you looked if there is any kind of firmware update?
else you will have to convert any non working ilda to V1 ilda.
and that kind of sucks :/

I can't seem to find anything related to firmware about the product. How would I go about finding a converter for V1 idla's?

    Thanks.

I don't know any free one, I hope there is.

Else you can consider to purchase ILDSOS, it's a good optimization tool and also has the ability to: merge ilda's and turn .dxf to ilda and allows you to select the output version of an ilda.
