May I make a suggestion, there is a different type of auction that I've been to for fund raising. Basically you bid for eg. $2 you give the $2 and the next person bids and adds and so on, till at a random time a "signal" goes off to indicate the end of bidding, last person to bid wins! Its fun and you only end up paying very little for a lot and you can raise alot of funds. Peace

    I like SpyroS' idea.

Edison - what do you think?

How do we get it started?

I'd love to bid to help the spec out... sadly I don't have that much money myself yet.
Maybe next year I will be able to.
If yes then I'll definitely give it a try.

I think that sounds like fun, and more people could participate. donate@photonlexicon.com to paypal works, but the how to track things from there introduces work.

Support your local Janitor- not solicited .

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.

    Oh like that.

I will see if I still have some money left on the paypall account
*deposits to the paypall account go slow and I started using it for the first time not that long ago.*

    Default Merry Chistamas all....

    Edison...
    Very nice and generous gesture...

But you should actually decide how to run this Auction BEFORE
members start sending money to donate@photonlexicon.com unless
of course it is a Donation.

To avoid any misunderstandings and hurt feelings... the Rules of this
auction should/must be clear and unambiguous...

Not to offend you SpyroS.... but I don't like that idea... It sounds more
like a $2.00 raffle than an Auction...

    Default lotto

i think you should issue 100 numbers or more @ $10 a time ,max one ticket each
and admin picks a random number
the highest bid thing is not going to get that high.
should easy sell a 100 tickets and admin gets $1k

    just my 2cents worth
When God said “Let there be light” he surely must have meant perfectly coherent light.
