    Default Removing Spray Paint?

    anyone got any suggestions to remove spray paint from a steel projector case?

    i have tried sand paper but i suspect ill still be sanding it this time next year as its very slow going.

    Sandblasting.
    Maybe you could ask your local car paintshop a favour.

    umm dont know anywhere off the top of my head that does that.

    That's the stuff Andy, bl**dy brilliant, just don't get it on your skin as it's not very nice. I've used it to strip paint off both metal and wood and it's worked great. Just be sure to check it's well washed off before you apply any new paint or it will blister the new finish.

    You should also be able to buy it at B & Q (or similar).

    the sooner i get it stripped the sooner i can get it resprayed

    Hi Andy, when using paint stripper, make sure you do it in a well ventilated area (face masks are not help) and make sure you have no naked flames or ignition sources!

    That stuff will ruin your kidneys and lungs!
