Default My take on a quad red :-)

    Hello guys

Today i finished my quad red. The beam at aperture is 3mmx 3mm and 12mm at 12 meter.
I will do some finetuning but i,m happy with 0.75mrd so far The two loose wires are for the tecplate. I need a die4chill to mount it on the top. I build it with the brass blocks that i had manufactured a while ago. I have a couple of these brass blocks and i have also some more housings if any one is interested to go with the brass blocks. The blocks have slideble collimators so stacking is easy. Here,s the link of the brass blocks that i have for sale:

    Enjoy the pics.

Very nice indeed.. the finish is every bit as good as any professional unit I have seen including my Kvant.

    Well done..

very nice work edison, there is a lot of love in that project, appears to be very marketable. Do you have a price estimate for a "kit"

    Good idea Laserman.

I will offer a kit in my for sale thread. O no lets make a new thread since andy is counting them
I just set the power to 800mw of 650. I also noticed that i have to reallign it because i alligned it on 8 meters. Maybe if i can find a mirror i can shoot it twice true the hall and back to allign it on 26 meters I noticed that i could do allot better. Damn these lenses are good.

    Looks good as always Johan!
With how much current do you drive the diodes to get 800mW out of the aperture?
