Default Software\Hardware problem with my DAC !?

I got the DAC from mylaserpage.de , and it`s supposed to be used with popelscan !

And when I use it with popelscan it`s works like a charm 8)

But popelscan dont play ild. files...

    So i found Laserscan 1.0 !!
It`s a simple x.y software that can play ILD files !!

But when I try to use it with my DAC and galvo, the galvos only go UP and DOWN as there was a random input !!
And the lasers blanking is going randomly togheter with the galvos...

    So I wonder why ?
Is the DAC supposed to ONLY work with popelscan.

Maybe some others out there that is using the same dac as I do know ?
I maybe buying mamba software, (as I notice it can play 2 DAC)
But will the same problems happen when i try to use mamba ?

Thanx if anybody know about this DAC..

Sounds like they have change position on the blanking and the Y dac signal. Thats easy to change in software or in hardware if you get some eort of breakoutbox.

Where did you find the software?
You know, I have one simple request. And that is to have sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads!

    http://24.200.192.31:81/LaserShow/

On the bottom at the page...
    "laserscan 1.0"

And you MUST install USER-PORT to activate acsess to the LPT output !

Ok, it's norms software. Then I think it's the problem I talked about. I think he is working on a new version that should let you change the settings so that it might work with your dac.

    Ok thanx
So it`s MY DAC that is the problem then ?

I think it`s stupid that you need one dac for every software ?

    Popelscan use the LPT dac
Pangolin use theyr own DAC PCI slot card
Alphalite has theyr own LPT DAC
    Mamba use Easylase USB DAC
And there is ... more maybe...

Hmm so if i gonna use my 2 sets of galvos I need to buy 2 DAC from the same company running the same software.. ?

Actually Mamba is an open hardware solution. It will run most hardware with diffrent drivers. MediaLas USB-Box, PCI 12, DAP 12, Riya, QM2000 and Easylase USB is everyone I know of.

I dont know about LDS but I think thatone can run some diffrent hardware but youll have to look it up. I think it's a bit to expensive for hobby use anyway. I even think Mamba black is close to the limit. But as we all know, the limit is constantly moving higher and higher
