agree with andy, still you won't be able to engrave metal i think.
You really need a little more for that.
Mostly a CO2 lasertube is used to engrave in wood, and cut acrylics, and again you can't cut metal with it....

Sorry for the OT; that is not good newsHow much is a CO2 laser and what power should I aim for, 1W, 5W or more? Another question, is it possible to use fiber optics with high power lasers? (to be able to mount the laser a few feet away from the CNC lathe, and not using the traditional mirror solution)

Sounds like these LPC822's are hard to kill. I'll take my chances, still got a few Aixizes and Flexmods to waste anyway.
