    Default How does a laser "TV" projector work?

    Ive searched but only found how a normal laser projector works.

    but how do TV laser projectors work?
    Do they also have galvos and all?

    Rasterscanning not with galvo's.

    I don't know the name of it. but they rasterscan fast enough to get a nice and clear screen.

    and beamshows? could that be done with them?

    or maybe at a very small angle.

    If it was possible then we wouldn't need galvo's anymore
    and likely someone would have done it.
    But this is not the case so apperently not possible or hardly.

    Yep, it even tells you its done using mems mirror in the vid.

    Sorry but i dont know any technology terms of those kinds so i couldnt know.
    I was just wondering. Would maby be a nice addition to my iphone.
    Since that mirror does pixel by pixel, can it run beam shows or not?

    Anyone has experiences with these laser projectors?
    How bright/colorful are the images vs normal projections? Thanks

    Not really. Although the beam is scanned, as I understand it, the MEMS scanning mechanism is resonant, tuned to the horizontal and vertical redraw cycles of the display - it would perform very, very, very poorly if driven with other frequencies.
