Default Smoke Machine Mod - Funny Video

This guys looks and sounds like he smoked a huge reefa before making this video!!!

Get ready to pretend this bit of paper is a top view of your smoke....... What was the question?

BTW, his schematic is incorrect. These cheap machines wire the pump and element (and switch) in series, with the N/C thermo switch in parallel with the pump. When the thermo switch is closed the element is powered and the pump is bypassed.

I did a similar mod to mine, adding a 2nd N/O thermo switch just for the pump, so that you can't pump fluid until the block is above 70c.

    Exclamation

Yeah, coming form someone who has worked on fog machines for years..
Its ok if its just in your home or shop and you use it just for like a tester, but nothing else..and if you do have it on the floor and not above you!! As not all the fluid will convert to fog, and high heat+hot fluid= serious burns That stuff is like cooking oil, it will burn after you have been hit
    Just be careful!!!

I didn't make to the end of the video, for some reason I got the munchies, ate a full pack of brownies and fell asleep.

Interestingly (or not) I am nearly done building a mini fazer from a Martin Magnum fogger I had sat here. My design does contain some control electronics and I plan on posting a thread on here when it's finished.

I'm actually looking at creating a little circuit that will allow regular cheap fog machines to be used without in between warmup times, that doesn't involve just changing a few wires around. Not sure if/when I'll ever complete it, but it's a bit less hackier than his mod

Maybe it's because I'm getting older... but after listening for
a minute to this mentally challenged person trying to look for
his next word.... I fell asleep from boredom...

Let me know when your ready, as I kludged my 700W China fog machine.

I fitted a 2nd bi-metalic thermal switch to the pump circuit, so it can pump fluid while the element is energized (but only when the heater block is hot enough).

Also, I replaced the hand remote with a custom controller that allows various periodic "quirts" as well as manual. Periodic squirts are best when you have a female heavy crowd.
