    I have used a few.

They blend with the rest of a TH rig very well, and the colour temperature of the source does what you would expect as you dim them unlike arc sources.
The spectrum is continuous with excellent CRI compared to most metal halide lamps.

They are usually quiet being designed as a basically theatrical source#(at least when stationary, but I found that movement sometimes had to be finessed to avoid it being audible in some scenes).

Note that you will need to supply both hard power and a dimmed circuit to each lantern as well as the obvious dmx.

    Regards, Dan.

Yea guess it does rather depend on what you are doing with them.

My use case was an in the round theatre piece for which non saturated colours were far more useful then saturated ones, but I can see that if you are expecting punchy deep blues like a discharge lamp would give then you maybe want something else.
