Scanner Driver or Galvo?

Having a weird problem first showed itself a few weeks back. The X axis develops a jitter it makes a swaying motion then in all displays. The first time it lasted about 10 minutes and went away. It returned over the weekend and is now present when I just start.

It does this on 2 different DACs and the same issue no-matter the scan size.

Is this usually a driver failure or a Galvo itself? How much trouble can I get in if I swap the XY drivers to see if the problem moves?

I have reseated the cables.

Also can temperature effect the tuning and cause this issue?

Spec, solved my problem. Guess there was some light leak in/out of the back of galvo. Covered it with electrical tape and the problem went away! thanks
