    Default Catweazle Galvo Required

    Does anyone have a catweazle galco i could buy. My X appears faulty , it barely moves even when i swap it to Y . Y works fine on x output so its not the driver. Thanks

    or does anyone have a low cost complete set of galvos for sale

    I had to replace a set of Catweazle in a friend's projector some times ago, because he lost the mirror.

    The galvo itself seems ok, but without mirror it had some difficulty to reflect the laser... As the mirror is really easily exchanged (you just need to remove 2 screws and exchange the whole shaft incl. mirror), if your mirror is still ok, I can ask him if he still own the old head and send the galvo without mirror to you?

    yes mirror is fine , just the galvo i require. Thanks. When replacing the mirror , does the whole thing just pull out as i didnt want to pull mine as im not sure what its attached too once you remove the small two screw cover.

    Yes the whole thing pulls out. I'll ask my friend and tell you.
    Is this hurry? As I'm not at home next week, it may delay a bit the communication..

    Maybe can you post a picture of your galvos, to be sure they are the same one?

    if you still need the scanner i have a bunch what type is it the old ones or the newer wide move xt

    I've once read on the laserfreak forums that the bearing of a catweazle can become stuck.
    Disassembling and reassembling of the mirror should do the trick.
