and when looking at the post of mccarrot, i noticed that the lower galvo is ALSO wrong...
Damn man,.... that connector needs to be on the other side of the block.
Is the side shiny silver what you are shining on ?
Anyway, i agree with michel that you can damage stuff, although when you know what your doing you can move the galvos while they are running. Since you are not that experienced i do not recommend you try this.
I do recommend downloading the manual and take a peek how to built the galvo block.
Both mirrors need to be under a 45 degree angle, then a straight beam goes in, up and out.
Also the scan angle is very big, and therefore your scanners scream. If there is a way (potentiometer) to make the angle smaller i recommend you do this, else you will break your second set of mirrors....
If you adjust scanners you can display a testpattern, at 8 degrees i thought that at 1 meters, this testpattern is 14 cm across.
I also think Rob has some nice documents on his website explaining this.
check here:

Here you can see how big to scan at a distance of 30cm !
But projecting 2x2 meters at 2 or 3 meters distance is way too big....
