I totally agree with PJ! I have the white, bottle lasts forever, but when it's running out i will buy red.
I have my bottle for over 3 or 4 LEMs now. Last time Rob cleaned my scanner mirrors and showed my how to do it, we gained over 200mW (just from cleaning the dichros, mirrors and scanner mirros and aperture window!.
    Best stuff ever made.
    I didn't fail !
I just found out 10,000 ways that didn't work.

There you go, just apply with the nailpolish-like brush, leave to dry for at least 20min, carefully take of and be amazed!

They did a test once where they let someone clean there glass or a lens as clean as possible, then put on First contact like a letter D.
Let it to dry and then take if off, you could clearly see a letter D where the glass or lens was cleaner then the stuff around it.
Hence they called it the D-Test (and my first name has nothing to do with this!!!).

So yes dirty windows (from Smoke fluid !!!) can really destroy your output powers. I have seen dirty mirrors and dichro's account to a loss up to 250mW in total on my 1.8W projector!
So maybe not 50% but a helluva lot !
aaah nice, i will get that stuff then, thanks PJ and hobbybob!
do you order more there? a idea of shipping costs that will add up to the total?

If you select Flat rate Europe 4.00 pounds is added , so totalling 32 pounds something for the red. Remember, this bottle will last you many many many cleanings !!!
Unless you leave it in your hot car then they explode (see other topic...) But normally this bottle will go on and on (like the duracell powerbunnies...)

you mean for making it fog proof?
So it will let more through and lose less power and get less filthy?

No the AR coating makes the glass Anti Reflective , hence the name AR.
This prevents beams bouncing back or scattering of the glass causing loss.
It doesn't make the glass less "sticky" if you thought that.

Eventually all aperture windows will become dirty, then it's good to have a bottle of First contact at hand.

i ment if the first contact could be used on it. i dont want it to "clean" the coating away ^^
    since it eats plastic.
