Default Green 532nm dpss with analog modulation 250mw or so

To replace my Chinese ttl controlled 250mw green module i wonder if anyone is going to replace his quality high end 250mw green analog module any soon. If so i am interested in a budgetairy way to help you lower the investment of a higher powered module.

Which green power is best for achieving a decent white balance, i already have
800 mw of red 650nm and enough 445nm blue (1W) to play with.
Did some calculations with chroma and yes i now this is just an indication but isn't it better to look for a 300mw green instead of a 200mw since the green will be at the end of my setup and shoot throug 2 dichro's so loose aprox 10 percent of its power?

    See pics attached.

A new CNI 300m 532nm is availlable for 482$, also tempting.

don't forget to compare how much green, red and blue you need to have equal brightness of these primary colors.
IMO this is more important than WB. For example, next to 250mW green and 800mW red the 1W blue is going to look weak and you will need to add a bit of green to it for a boost. However, as chroma shows you only need a fraction of that raw blue power to get mixed colors: white and also cyan and magenta. So the ratios needed for WB and for equal visibility are really different. So my suggestion, when buying, is to look for laser powers that yield equal visibility side by side. It is better to turn down laser power to get WB than to turn down power to get equal brightness of the primary colors since the mixed colors are inherently brighter than the single primary colors (!). I just finished redoing the whole color scheme for my software (OLA, laseroids, etc.) to be able to assign the full 1W to the primary blue color but to have way less blue in the mixed colors. Works like a charm.

On another note: there will always be a weakest laser in your setup that you are wanting to replace so go for the 300mW green unless you can get a 250 mW bargain. ;-)

BTW where did you spot that 300mW CNI ??? :-)
