    Default Another dichro order question

I was told the last days that it would be better to start with blue (445nm) than add green (532nm) and finaly add red (640/650).
Before i would start with green, then add blue and then add red, reason for doing this was that green was the most visible, and red was the most expensive so it left blue in the center.
Nowadays, with the crazy amount of 1W blue 445nm it seems to be more logical to change this and start with blue.

    Agree?

the most productive laser order (IMO) now is

    Scanners---RED----BLUE----GREEN

Red is most expensive and now the weak link (usually). Blue is as we all know, nickels for megawatts and green almost the same.

    Just my opinion.

    Marc,

I just noticed the mount you have under the scan block. Is this something you sell?

Default scanhead mount and dichro setup

after your question i took a closer look and yes, this looks very interesting.
    would like one too.

by the way, going, advise of an optics specialist, for the unconventional setup of blue, green, red, scanners.

    Will let you know.

Default bought dichro's, now what mount to use

Hi, i will receive my rectangle shaped dichros soon, what will be a good, 3 way adjustable mount to use and which "glue" (i think 2 component epoxy) is advisable?

    Hey Jim-

No. Its actually a Newport mount. actually comes in handy! gives a lot of adjustment room and is a nice, heavy sturdy block! On one side it is lightly "gridded" in a metric pattern to easily drill the mount holes for foreign scan blocks also.
