Of course if it had killed them then they wouldn't need to worry about any further warnings....

    Music show...
    Big production....
Flashing lights and images? Surely not!!

I think a warning about the musical content would have been more appropriate.

People that suffer with the condition should stick to listening to the radio.

    What a load of arse.

I just watched the Westlife performance on YT and at no point did the lasers create a 15Hz intence flash rate. The way they piped on about it, I was looking for the use of strobes. Not onec did the lasers pass across the lens of any of the camara's in the studio.

More importantly , how does this affect us out in the field using lasers

Sounds like the sign up outside venues should no longer be

    "LASERS IN USE"

    but rather

"Lasers in use , warning strobing and flashing effects ? "
In the beginning there was none. Then came the light - #1 UKLEM - 2007

Mine have always said something to that effect anyway. Covers all the bases and a rapidly scanned image could be considered to be strobing.

More PC. How did we all manage in the 70's & 80's?

The newspapers were hardly covered with stories about the deaths of people who died watching tv!

I just hope they put warnings on and keep the lasers.

QS now specifically has a strobe effect as I presume will future versions of LD / Beyond etc.

I guess warning signs are the only way forwards although that said, who goes to a nightclub and doesn't expect strobes?
